I wasn´t going to post today, but... Apparently I don´t need a second thought on getting a job, since I was told today that I have one - I just need to make one phone call tomorrow to ensure it. Awesome. My jaw nearly dropped when I heard this. Ok, it´s not a fancy job or anything and there is no way to tell how long I get to work, but hey, a chance to get some cash. Who would say no?
I don´t hate our library as much as I did earlier. I can´t tell what it is, it isn´t like they´ve got bunch of new cool stuff there or anything. I did have loads of fun reading magazines and trying not to laugh out loud about certain things. I think the guy sitting next to me (and coughing all the time) wouldn´t have approved my behaviour. I just got to ask those who go to the library more often than I do - any library for that matter, because this is something that hasn´t happened before- do the people working there greet everyone entering the building? The young guy greeted me with a typical Finnish style by nodding his head and I was like, what. No one does that. I did have a purpose for my trip to the said library, but I had to ask the woman to get me the book from another library since their copy was out on loan. I did get One Hundred Years of Solitude though. It´s been bugging me ever since I saw it on the Londoner´s table in Zagreb, so I decided to do something about it.
In the news today: Antti Niemi wraps up his football career, because of his wrist injury. He intends to continue as a scout for Fulham in Finland. In a way I´m sorry to hear this eventhough I don´t even support the Finnish national team. But Niemi has been a great goalie and should have gotten more respect than he did.
Today has been a quite a good day. Yeah, it has rained more than is healthy. But I finally got my lovely laptop bag, paper version´s of my graduation photos and two awesome CDs. Currently I´m listening to Does It Offend You, Yeah? and soon moving onto listening to the grand MGMT.
Oh, also HBL informed me that they´ve extended my subscription for two weeks - for free. Thank you. A good day indeed.
// I´m editing this just to let everyone know, that the new nin.com site is up and what´s even more better (at least I think so, for the moment) is that the forum has gone public to everyone interested. The forum is cool, has been since the beta was introduced to the ETSers an Spirales in mid-August. They went public pretty soon, but then again, I don´t mind. Interested? Join, have fun like I do. Don´t be a douchebag.
