We got back home safe and sound though the flight was delayed and it took ages to get our stuff in Helsinki. But more about that soon, because it´s time for some football updates. Skip the next pretty long chapter if you´re not interested.
Arsenal doesn´t have Arshavin, but they have something almost as good, Samir Nasri. I at least am really, really excited about him. He got to play too little at Euro, but now... He is one of the next big things and I am sure he won´t be a disappointement. Gunners also have Carlos Vela back from loan and the talented Welsh Aaron Ramsey (born 1990 by the way) joined the Gooner family too. No info on Alonso coming, but if it was called official on the Italian TV show we just have to wait what happens. Gilberto leaving is a bit sad, but I´m not going to miss him that much since the new guys are so exciting. Can´t wait for the season kick-off. Which reminds me of December. It got tricky. Unless I get someone to buy me a Red membership (which I would be more than delightful to have) the is practically no way to get to the match. Last season not a single ticket went on general sale and I´m betting the same will continue. Thomas Cook still offers tickets and accommondation for the weekend and I think that is what we should really seriously consider. The best seats for the match are sold out which is no wonder, but there are still others left. If it is going to be the place up high where it is hard to see then so be it, but I really want to get there and see Gunners (and one certain number 9) play. We discuss about this, I´m sure. Mom kind of already gave an ok when I hinted about this.
I was also bored last night and tried finding out the vice-captains but to no avail. So I don´t have the faintest clue about them right now but I´ll keep searching. I ended up reading the UEFA profiles once again. It was predicted that when Casillas no longer is a captain then Fabregas will be his successor. Interesting. Haven´t done the Youtube checking yet, but I have time. Maybe this is enough from football and I can start telling about the rest of hour trip.
Italy. Well... Ciao bella was heard very often which really started to piss off. Yeah, I´m blond, I know but I still don´t want to hear that from 45-year-old men. The hostel in Florence was fine, though the check-in was not. The time changed too often and as we were tired it didn´t please us at all. We sat at a nearby park for hours watching people and their dogs. And when we didn´t get our room we hit the city and saw those "little" attractions. And sat at the stairs of the Duomo way too long watching the DIY-man. He was cute and the t-shirt. No, I did not take a picture of him. As if... Last ads of the cafe. We did nothing special there, watched TV and listened to really good conversations. People who don´t remember when they are checking out. On Sunday there was a horrible rain so we didn´t get up until very late. In Milan we slept in a hotel. That we found just cause we were lucky. We just sat and ate... On Tuesday we went to Monaco. Yes. The trip took ages but the views were good. The sea and nice sunshine. It was a really nice place. The wind was lovely. The buildings were awesome, everything was just as gorgeous as it always seems on TV. Milan. Well, we saw pretty much everything one should see, even the Last Supper. This is really bad, because I don´t remember everything we did and now it seems like we did nothing and that is not the case... But I can give info on Italy´s most popular artist. Actually, I might do a link list. Here we go.
Lost - Stand By
Sonohra - Love Show
Marracash - Badabum cha cha
Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me
Jovanotti - Tanto
Caparezza - Vieni A Ballare In Puglia (This video has more tambourines that is lawful)
And my personal favourite so far: MGMT - Electric Feel
Coming home was odd. Everyone speaks Finnish and somehow things are so simple. I don´t know. I did have fun reading NYT. Helsinki´s Torremolinos. I almost choked. And Ben Barnes is everywhere. I have to see Prince Caspian. And Dark Knight. And Wanted. Oh, and my mom has done something that really surprised me. FST had showed NIN´s Beside You In Time and she had recorded that for me. I am overly excited cause my DVD is broken. Now I can see the best parts. And she did that even without asking me. What a mom. I might have something else too, but this post is already so long. Pictures will be on Flickr when I have time to sort out the best. Commenting is fine, the one Riikka left really made me smile when I read it last night, so thank you. I´ll be around.
